When I married, I took a correspondence
course in children's writing. When illness and a family
came along, my writing was on a hiatus for many
years. I love to write poetry, devotionals,
anthology pieces, and I'm trying my hand at historical
fiction for children. My greatest love is children's
stories. I went to college a few years ago in my
late 50s and got a two year degree in early childhood. I
recently got a full time position with my school system.
During that time, I took as many English and writing
courses that I could to help hone and develop my skills.
I've joined several writing critique groups since, which
have been a great help to my future publishing desires. I
have many stories that I am rewriting and will be
submitting, soon. I have had several poems
published in our church newsletter. I have also had
several devotions published in a Christian newsletter.
Next will be my children's story. I had a traditional
contract offered for one last summer, but when they
started changing the contract around, I turned down their
offer. I will find a home for my stories. xxxWrite-Intention |

Hi, my name is Marge Gower. I
became a writer in middle school. I loved to write
papers. I didn't always get good grades, but worked to
the best of my ability. I still have some of those
papers, just because I worked so hard on them. They are
getting yellow, brittle and tattered, but I will keep
them until they fall apart. I love researching and
putting my words on paper. I have many unfinished
journals from various eras of my life to prove it.
