I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember.  In school I would write little stories in the back of my exercise books and loved inventing characters.  I immersed myself in books, absorbing all I could on what worked for characters and the situations they got in and out of.

I lost myself for hours and I hope to the benefit of my writing. Obviously my favourite subject was English and my teachers said they loved reading my creative writing stories.  One of the stories I toyed with during high school is the one I have just written as a complete novel. 

The best thing about it is that, while playing with it over the years I have many ideas for the next ones.  I would love to see my stories in print, published, to know that many people are enjoying them as much I am.  But even if it only goes so far as friends reading a printed copy from my computer, it's the excitement they enjoyed it that is my buzz. 

I would really love to be able to build my writing as a career and help support my family doing what I love - I guess it's every writer's dream - so perhaps if I dream hard enough and write!, write!, write!, I will one day make that dream a reality!
