I’ve always wanted to be a writer. My main passion all through school was books. While I was supposed to be studying, I was reading books instead. At home my mother would come into check on me to see if I was still studying, I would quickly stuff the book under the bed. Yet when I would try to write stories I would get frustrated or give up. I think I always expected the stories to turn out perfect, just like when I was learning to knit, crochet or sew. I didn’t continue with any of those three things. I would just give up.

I often felt like I was missing something growing up. I lacked confidence and ambition in my life. I was an only child and a military brat. I wasn’t very good at standing up for myself. I always cared what people thought; I didn’t want to be centered out.

I came across a book called “The Secret” by Rhonda Bourne. I had often seen it in the bookstores, but I didn’t bother to check it out until the receptionist at my physiotherapist’s office told me about it. Reading it, I see the positive message it conveys. I realized you need to believe in something and that you should be grateful for what you have or are given.

Many authors such as Dr. Anthony Robbins, Robin Sharma, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dryer and Larry Winget and Rob Parnell have inspired me to reach for my dreams. I plan to be a published author in the near future. I believe that with Rob’s advice and my determination it will happen.

I work midnights as a factory worker. I see how women are when they retire from here. Their arms and hands are messed up. I want more for myself.

In May 2000 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. The doctor couldn’t tell me how I got it. I’ve been really motivated to find out how I contracted it. I’ve been reading a lot of magazines on health. I started seeing a Homeopath, and now I’m seeing a Naturopath. It was the best thing I could have done. I feel I’m on the right track now with my health and that it can only get better. I’ve started a walking group that meets at least once a week.

I’m really beginning to think that it should be mandatory to have your vitamin and mineral levels tested every so many years. Our foods are missing the nutrients we need to keep our bodies running efficiently. The nutrients aren’t in the soil because of all the pesticide use. You would see a huge cut back on the health care system from wait times, to less people getting sick and more lives saved or cured. Our doctors don’t have time to keep a closer eye on our health.

I plan to use meditation, yoga and even tai chi to help me to focus more on my writing. Once I have a few books published I can maybe start thinking of staying home to concentrate on my family and writing full time. I’m hoping to help my husband make a few of his dreams come true. Thanks to Larry Winget I am now ready to be more responsible with money. I am broke because I want to be, I will split everything into wants and needs. To succeed, I believe my dreams are possible and I deserve them.
